B-17 Flying Fortress G-BEDF Sally B is the last remaining airworthy B-17 in Europe. She is based at Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

She hopefully will be overflying the Madingley American Cemetery on Memorial Day to honour the many thousands young men of the US Eighth Air Force who were laid to rest there, and this year is certainly no exception – that is weather permitting. The B17 normally  makes  three circuits over the cemetery at around 12:20 on May Bank Holiday Monday to honour the fallen.

See more about her here and please donate to keep her flying.

Also keep your eyes and ears looking skywards as IWM Duxford has their Duxford Air Festival 2019 Saturday and Sunday 25-26 May 2019 – including RAF Typhoon Display Team which flies in from RAF Coningsby in their Typhoon FGR$ combat jets, and on Sunday maybe a glimpse of the F-15E Strike Eagle flying in from RAF Lakenheath.
